I’m Pommie, a British girl who loves to travel. I started this blog to share my experiences of solo travel with others. I hope to inspire other women to take the plunge and travel solo too!

I’ve been lucky enough to visit some amazing places already, including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Each place has its own unique culture and customs, which I love learning about. I also enjoy exploring new places by myself; it’s a great way to meet new people and learn more about yourself.

If you’re thinking about taking the leap into solo travel, then I hope you’ll follow my blog and join me on this adventure!

Hey everyone! I’m a 20-year-old British girl who loves to travel. I’ve been lucky enough to do a bit of solo travelling and thought I’d share my experiences in case anyone else is thinking about taking the plunge!

For me, there’s nothing more liberating than setting off on your own into the unknown. It can be daunting at first, but once you get over that initial hurdle it’s the most rewarding feeling ever. You learn so much about yourself when you’re out there by yourself and it really makes you appreciate all the little things in life.

If you’re thinking of solo travelling, then just go for it! It might seem scary at first but trust me, it’s worth it. Start small if you’re not sure – maybe do a weekend trip somewhere close to home first.

Then build up to longer trips and before you know it you’ll be addicted like me! I hope this has inspired some of you to give solo travel a try.

What Inspired You to Start Pommie Travels

I started Pommie Travels because I wanted to inspire others to travel. I had been travelling for a while and loved it, but noticed that most people my age didn’t seem to be doing much of it. I thought if I could share my stories and show how easy and fun it could be, maybe more people would give it a try.

So far it seems to be working – I’ve had some great feedback from readers who have said they’ve been inspired to start travelling themselves.

What’S Been Your Favourite Travel Experience So Far

There are many amazing travel experiences that I have had the privilege of enjoying, but if I had to narrow it down to just one, it would definitely be my trip to Japan. From the moment I arrived in Tokyo and saw the skyline for the first time, I was absolutely mesmerised. The city was so alive and vibrant, and there was so much to see and do.

I loved exploring all the different districts and trying out all the delicious food. And of course, no trip to Japan would be complete without a visit to Kyoto – which did not disappoint! The temples and gardens were breathtaking, and it was fascinating to learn about Japanese culture and history.

Overall, it was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

What’S the Best Advice You’Ve Ever Been Given for Solo Travelers

The best advice I’ve ever been given for solo travelers is to be aware of your surroundings and to always have a backup plan. It’s important to know where you are and what you’re doing at all times, in case something happens and you need to find help. It’s also crucial to have a contingency plan for things like missed flights or lost luggage.

By being prepared, you can minimize the chances of something going wrong on your trip.

Where in the World are You Currently Traveling

Assuming you would like a blog post about my current travel plans: My husband and I are currently planning a trip to Thailand! We’re very excited because we’ve never been to Asia before.

Our plan is to fly into Bangkok and then spend a few days exploring the city. After that, we’ll head north to Chiang Mai where we’ll visit some temples and go hiking in the mountains. Then, we’ll head south to Krabi where we’ll relax on the beach for a week.

Finally, we’ll fly back home from Phuket.

How Do You Afford to Travel So Often

Assuming you would like tips on how to afford to travel more often: 1. Set a travel savings goal each month – Decide how much you would need to save monthly in order to reach your desired trip budget. This will help keep you accountable and make it easierto break down your expenses.

2. Make trade-offs – In order to have extra money for travel, you may have to give up some of your luxuries. Consider giving up your weekly manicure/pedicure, eating out as often, or that expensive gym membership you never use. 3. Utilize credit card points – If used correctly, credit card points can go a long way in offsetting the cost of airfare or hotels.

Do your research on which cards offer the best rewards programs for travelers and use them when possible. 4. Get creative with accommodation – There are many ways to save on accommodation costs while traveling. You can look into couchsurfing, Airbnb, hostels, or even house-sitting opportunities.

5. Find cheap(er) flights – Be flexible with both your travel dates and destination in order to find the cheapest flights possible.

Travel News of the World

There is so much to see in this world, and sometimes it can be hard to keep track of all the goings on. That’s why we’re here to provide you with a round-up of some of the most interesting travel news from around the globe. So sit back, relax, and get ready to be transported to far-flung destinations without even leaving your seat!

First up on our list is an exciting new development in Egypt. The country has long been a popular destination for tourists looking to explore its ancient history and culture, but now there’s even more reason to visit. A recent archaeological discovery has revealed a previously unknown temple that was built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II.

The temple is located in Luxor, which is already home to many other well-known archaeological sites such as the Valley of the Kings. This latest find is sure to attract even more visitors to Egypt in the coming months and years. If you’re looking for somewhere a little closer to home, how about heading over to Spain?

The Spanish city of Valencia recently announced plans to build Europe’s first ever floating hotel. The futuristic design includes cabins that will be suspended above the water on pontoons. It’s set to open in 2019, so start planning your trip now!

And finally, if you’re searching for an unforgettable experience, why not head off into space? Virgin Galactic is now taking bookings for commercial flights aboard their SpaceShipTwo craft. These flights are expected to begin within the next year or two, so if you’ve always dreamed of being an astronaut now’s your chance (albeit a very pricey one!).
